Admittance to the Hospital

On a specific day, we invite you to meet with the Hospital Service Coordinator. After registering and completing the necessary formalities, the patient is taken to the clinic. The coordinator takes the patient to the appropriate hospital ward and contacts the nurse. If you have any questions regarding the service, please contact your coordinator. Please remember to bring the following items to the hospital: pyjamas, slippers, toiletries. Patients coved by the National Health Fund for hospital services are additionally asked to bring a towel and a bathrobe. Please also remember to bring all previously received forms and consents with you – these documents are necessary to start your treatment.

At the hospital

We have designed our hospital with your comfort and health safety in mind. This means not only an exceptionally high standard of interior finishing (rooms, bathrooms, corridors, and ward kitchens for patients), but also the highest quality medical equipment for treatments and saving lives, as well as highly qualified and friendly medical staff.

Rooms

According to your needs, you have a choice of*:

  • a single or double room with a bathroom - equipped with a telephone, TV, call system, wardrobe, bedside table, table, armchair, lamp, hand towel, and bathrobe for the patient
  • a family room with a bathroom, equipped with a telephone, TV, call system, wardrobe, bedside table, table, lamp, comfortable fold-out chair for one person, hand towel and a bathrobe
  • an apartment consisting of two spacious, comfortably furnished rooms with a bathroom; equipped with a telephone, TV, call system, wardrobe, bedside table, table, armchairs, a comfortable fold-out sofa for two people, a lamp; additionally, a small and large towel and a bathrobe for the patient and the accompanying person

*NHF patients stay at the hospital in triple rooms. The service does not include the provision of towels, bathrobe or TV.

Meals

Meals are delivered to the room at the following times:

  • breakfast – 8.30,
  • lunch – 13.00,
  • dinner – 18.00.

On the gynaecology, obstetrics and paediatric wards, we additionally serve a mid-morning snack (along with breakfast) and afternoon snack (delivered with lunch). Accompanying persons staying in family rooms and apartments also receive meals.

Patients’ kitchen in the hospital department

Each hospital ward has a kitchen equipped with a microwave, a refrigerator, an electric kettle and a sink, cutlery and dishes. There is also a water dispenser at the ward.

Restaurant

Our restaurant, serving patients and guests, is located in a modern interior in the main hall on the ground floor. The restaurant menu is prepared according to medical recommendations. We are open from Monday to Friday 08:00-17:00, and on weekends: 09:00-15:00.

Air-conditioning

Air conditioning has been installed in each room to ensure the right temperature. The system is centrally controlled.

Television

We offer a wide range of channels: news, films, sports, and children’s programming. NHF patients can watch TV in the recreation area in certain departments.

Internet

Free wireless Internet is available in the entire hospital. In order to access it, you need to enter a login and a password which you can obtain from a department nurse.

Hospital safe

There is a deposit safe box in the hospital. If you want to use it, contact the nurse at your department.

Recreation area

Some departments offer relaxation areas for patients. Secluded corners with comfortable sofas allow you to talk to your guests and relax in front of the TV.

Pharmacy - Medicopharma

The pharmacy is located on the ground floor in the main hall. It stocks medicines, dietary supplements, cosmetics from famous companies and medical equipment.

The pharmacy is open Monday to Friday 08:00-21:00, and weekends 09:00-19:00.

Pastoral care

Information on pastoral care can be found at the nursing centre. There you will also receive a list of clergymen of various denominations along with contact telephone numbers.

Discharge from the hospital

Your personal physician will inform you of your hospital discharge date at least one day in advance. On the day of discharge, you will receive an information card, presc.riptions, as well as recommendations for further treatment, lifestyle changes and follow-up appointments. All matters related to payments should be settled on the day of discharge. The Hospital Service Coordinators can help you with this process.
