Admission to the hospital

On the date of your admission please see your Hospital Care Coordinator. After completing the registration process and all necessary formalities, you will be directed to the appropriate hospital department. The Coordinator will accompany you to the department and introduce you to your attending nurse. If you have any questions, please contact your Coordinator. Please remember to bring with you the essential items such as nightclothes, slippers and toiletries. Patients undergoing treatment in the hospital within the scope of the contract with the National Health Fund are additionally asked to bring a towel and a bathrobe. Also, please be sure to bring the forms and permits which you have previously received and which are necessary for your admission.

This is reflected not only in the high standard of its fittings (rooms, bathrooms, halls, kitchens for patients), but most of all in the highly qualified and friendly medical staff and the top quality medical equipment aimed at performing procedures and saving lives as well.

According to your needs, you can choose to stay in the following types of rooms*:

  • single or double patient room with a bathroom  – both types are equipped with a telephone, a television set, a nurse-calling system, a closet, a bedside table, a table, an armchair, a lamp, a hand towel and a bathrobe for the patient;
  • family room with a bathroom – equipped with a telephone, a television set, a nurse-calling system, a closet, a bedside table, a table, a lamp, a comfortable folding couch, a hand towel and a bathrobe;
  • apartment with two spacious and comfortably equipped rooms with a bathroom - equipped with a telephone, a television set, a nurse-calling system, a closet, a bedside table, a table, a lamp, armchairs and a comfortable folding couch; additionally, there are big and small towels and bathrobes available both for a patient and a companion.

* National Health Fund (NFZ) patients stay in double patient rooms. The equipment of the rooms does not include towels, a bathrobe and a television set.


In order to ensure the right temperature, each room is air-conditioned. The air-conditioning system is centrally controlled.


Meals are delivered to patient rooms at the following times:

  • Breakfast: 8.30 a.m.
  • Lunch: 1.00 p.m.
  • Dinner: 6 p.m.

In the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology and in the Department of Paediatrics, we additionally serve a packed lunch (together with breakfast) and afternoon tea (together with dinner). Meals are also served to patients' companions staying in family rooms or apartments.

Patients’ kitchen in the hospital department

Each hospital department has a kitchen equipped with a microwave oven, a refrigerator, an electric kettle, a sink, cutlery and crockery. There is also a water cooler in each department.


During your hospital stay you can watch many different television channels: news, films, sports and programmes for children. National Health Fund patients staying in the hospital can watch television in the recreation area of a department.


Free wireless Internet is available in the entire hospital. In order to access it, you need to enter a login and a password which you can obtain from a department nurse.

Recreation area

There is a recreation area in each department. It is an intimate corner equipped with comfortable sofas where you can sit down, spend time with your guests, relax or watch television.


Patients staying in single patient or family rooms and in the apartments can have visitors at any time. Persons visiting patients staying in double patient rooms are welcome from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. and are asked to respect the visiting hours. 
Children visits are also permitted (provided that they are healthy).


There is a restaurant for patients and guests in the hospital’s main lobby. The restaurant menu is prepared according to doctors’ instructions. It is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekdays and from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on weekends.

Pharmacy - Medicopharma

The pharmacy is located in the main lobby on the ground floor. It offers pharmaceuticals, diet supplements, cosmetics of famous brands and medical equipment. The pharmacy is open from Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. and from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Saturdays.

If you wish to deposit your belongings in the hospital safe, please contact a nurse from your department.

Pastoral care

You can get information about pastoral care at the nursing station. You can also ask for a list of clergy of various denominations containing their contact details.
