Prenatal tests

We offer the most reliable non-invasive prenatal tests SANCO, VERACITY, VERAGENE, PANORAMA and double PAPP-A test in accordance with FMF to all mothers-to-be who are in the risk group or want to have prenatal diagnostic tests.

These tests identify the risk of trisomy 21, 18 and 13 (Down, Edwards and Patau syndromes), sex chromosome anomalies and several birth defects caused by other chromosome abnormalities.

Only a small sample of the pregnant woman’s blood is needed for the test to be performed. The test involves isolating the baby’s DNA in the mother’s blood and then analysing this DNA using next-generation sequencing technologies. The detection rate of the test exceeds 99.5%. Thanks to this test, many mothers-to-be can avoid invasive tests (including amniocentesis) which they are so afraid of.

How the test is done

For the test, 10 ml of blood is taken from your vein, just like in the case of simple chemistry tests. The blood sample will be taken during a visit to a gynaecologist at our centre. The doctor will fill in the required medical records. Prenatal tests can be done from 10 weeks of pregnancy. The results are available approximately 10 days after the blood sample has been taken. The tests do not require any special preparation and you do not need to be fasting.
