This defect involves the incorrect location of the external opening of the urethra, which can be located on the ventral side of glans penis, in the glans groove, on the penis, on the scrotum or on the perineum. Treatment of this defect requires surgery, resulting in straightening of the penis and creating the missing urethral section placing its opening on the top of the glans. The treatment is performed in young boys, aged 2-3. In deep hypospadias multi-stage treatment is required. Operational methods should be adapted to the type and severity of the defect. After the operation, it is necessary to periodically monitor the results, which usually takes place one month after surgery, three months after surgery and every six months thereafter, and then once a year until adulthood.
