There are many types of headache – sudden or chronic, migraine or sinus-related, accompanied by a feeling of confusion, ringing in the ears, stinging pain in the temples or eyes, and even distorted balance. Nearly all of us have experienced them.

A headache can be caused by exhaustion, tonsillitis, a cold, or being very nervous. Headaches are often caused by stress, overworking, exhaustion, high emotions, a lack of sleep, changing weather, too much alcohol, noise, polluted air, and some foods.

We can cope with this pain with over the counter painkillers. But what about stronger pain that also causes nausea and vomiting, blurred vision, photophobia, and sensitivity to sound?

Migraines can be caused by high emotions, fatigue, changing weather, a period, long exposure to the sun, as well as certain foods (e.g. chocolate, cocoa, cheese, nuts, eggs, tomatoes, or wine).

Strong pain can affect your quality of life, and may slow down your reactions or make it harder to concentrate, in turn potentially causing dangerous situations, e.g. when you are driving a car.

We are helpless in the face of such pain, so it is best to see a doctor. Antimigraine drugs are the most effective in emergency treatment and the doctor may administer them intravenously. The symptoms will subside after these drugs have been administered and you will be able to return to your daily routine. Continuing to cooperate with a doctor will help you manage the problem and will bring better treatment results in the future.

If you have a strong headache and need aid urgently, visit the Medicover Hospital’s Emergency Unit, where we offer nursing care, a stay at the Observation Unit, and the administration of antimigraine drugs and fluids if recommended by the doctor.

Package price: PLN 300.00. The cost of the package does not include the price of a consultation with a doctor – PLN 250.00.
