Safety of visits at Medicover Centres

11.10.2021
Increased safety standards have been introduced during the period of the epidemic out of concern for the health and safety of our Patients and the staff of the medical centres.
  1. Patients with symptoms of infections, who need to be physically examined by the doctor, are admitted in special Medicover Express schedules. These appointments are separated by time and space from other schedules at the medical centres.
  2. Before the Medicover Express visit, the triage officer reminds patients to wear a mask properly and disinfect their hands, as well as asking about the purpose of the visit. He then directs the patient to the place where they can confirm their arrival for their appointment and to the appropriate surgery or isolation room.
  3. We have installed and appropriately marked hand disinfection points at the entrances to the centres. Protective screens are installed at the reception desk.
  4. The medical staff are obliged to follow strict procedures regarding the use of Personal Protective Equipment and hand hygiene. Depending on the risk involved, employees are required to wear surgical masks and other Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  5. The surgeries at medical centres are regularly disinfected. We use UV-C lamps and other devices to reduce the amount of bacteria and viruses.
  6. In justified cases, we organize weekend fogging of the surfaces of the medical centres with dry hydrogen mist. This gives highly effective disinfection.
  7. We educate patients to remain at least 1.5 metres from the receptionist and from other patients in the waiting room.

Additionally, special safety procedures have been introduced to ensure that children are safe at the Medicover Centre.

  1. We have medical centres in every town, where we admit healthy children safely. We have a separate entrance to the paediatric section at some centres. Similarly, children are served completely separately. If this is not possible at a given centre, healthy children are only admitted at certain times, when there are no patients with symptoms of infection on the premises.
  2. We recommend that your child comes on an appointment with only one healthy carer and ensure that the carer wears a protective face mask while at the Medicover Centre.

We would like to ask you to behave responsibly when coming to an appointment at a Medicover Centre.
