The main objective of the campaign is to raise public awareness in the area of diagnostics and treatment of hypertension – both locally and globally.
This study has been designed to measure blood pressure and heart rate in adults over 18 years old whose blood pressure has not been measured over the past year. A brief medical interview with each patient is going to take place, too. All the study data will be anonymous, and as soon they are collected, they will be sent electronically to the central global database. The patients whose blood pressure readings will indicate hypertension are going to receive written advice with recommendations for follow-up action points such as changes in diet and lifestyle.
As part of the campaign, the programme organizers aim to survey more than 25 million people worldwide, including 50,000–250,000 patients from Poland.
The campaign starts on May 1st and closes on May 31st. The measurements will be performed among the patients at the Medicover Centres, and for any volunteers at Medicover pharmacies. We are looking forward to your visit!
