Labour and regular pregnancy visits – important message

17.03.2020
The women who have decided to have their prenatal visits and give birth to their children in our hospital may come for their planned visits to their gynaecologists. Due to a state of epidemic threat caused by SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus, which leads to #COVID-19, and in accordance with the recommendations of the Minister of Health and the Chief Sanitary Inspector, we have implemented the following changes:
  • The patient enters the hospital for a visit ALONE – without an accompanying person, – it concerns gynaecological visits as well as pregnancy ultrasounds.
  • The patient enters the hospital for a postpartum follow-up visit ALONE – without an accompanying person.
  • ONE PARENT with a child enters the hospital for a follow-up visit to the neonatologist.

Dear present and future mothers, remember that all implemented changes are dictated by our concern about the #safety of yours and your children. We try to ensure you a maximum protection, therefore we have also modified the hospitalisation conditions at the obstetrical department. There is still a possibility of family labour, but your Partner cannot leave the department. If he decides to leave the hospital (e.g. to go to the shop), he will not be able to come back. In such situation, your partner may take you and your baby from hospital at the hall downstairs, yet only once you are discharged home. Remember that taking precautions we may stop this pandemic together.
