Every now and then, every woman likes to wear a dress that reveals her shoulders, a mini-skirt or a pair of tight jeans. And if she wants to do that, she needs to have a fit body. But what if regular workouts at the gym are not enough? In addition to physical activity, it is always a good idea to consult an experienced plastic surgeon, who will advise you how to give your buttocks, shoulders and thighs an ideal shape that will make them your asset.

One of the most popular methods of improving one's appearance is liposuction. Thanks to it fat cells, once removed, never regenerate and grow back. Typical areas where body fat can be surgically sucked out are:

  • hips,
  • outer parts of the thighs,
  • knees and calves,
  • belly,
  • chin,
  • shoulders,
  • buttocks.

During a single surgery between 3 and 4 litres of fat tissue can be safely removed. The removed fat, after appropriate preparation, can be reused as a tissue filler and, for example, injected into parts of the face (cheeks, nasolabial lines, lips). While formally this would be an extra procedure, it would still be the part of the same surgical operation during which liposuction is done. You should, however, remember that liposuction is not a treatment for obesity!

Abdominal wall surgeries

Flaccid skin, excess fat tissue and stretch marks on the belly are a problem many women face after childbirth or an intensive weight-loss programme. An unattractive, protruding belly distorts body proportions and can quite successfully ruin our self-esteem. Such serious defects cannot usually be corrected by fitness classes, massage or cosmetics. If nothing works, it is always a good idea to consider surgical correction of the belly shape, whose aims are the following:

  • to remove excess flaccid tissue from the abdominal wall,
  • to tighten the abdominal muscle fascia,
  • to repair the defect in patients with diastasis rectus abdominis (separation of the rectus abdominis muscle),
  • to correct an abnormally situated navel.

The procedure involves surgical removal of excess skin and fat from middle and lower parts of the abdomen. It flattens the profile of the lower abdomen and smooths out stretch marks, resulting in a marked improvement of the slim look.
