Vomiting, diarrhoea, problems with child’s hydration… every parent is familiar with these issues. All children will “encounter” rotavirus during their lives, but there are also noro- and adenoviruses. Not to mention bacteria like salmonella, yersinia or campylobacter.

At the Department of Children’s Health at Medicover Hospital, your child will recover in a friendly, home-like, comfortable atmosphere, surrounded by a team of specialists. We will diagnose the infection and indicate the method and duration of intravenous rehydration based on the age of your child and the state of dehydration. It usually takes 24-48 hours. During hospitalisation, children will be staying in rooms with a bathroom, accompanied by their parents and caring medical staff.

In the case of illness, please report to the Medicover Hospital Emergency Unit – 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. An on-call paediatrician will examine your child and, if necessary, recommend hospitalisation within the 24-hour or 48-hour hydration package. The doctor will also address any questions and doubts you may have regarding the course of your child’s hospital stay.
